New Church of Scientology of Quebec

Parishioners and staff have been working hand in hand to create the new Church of Scientology of Quebec . The new church building is in old town in the center of town, with two faces – one on the traditional old town, walking street side, and the other on a more contemporary city street.

Update: The original post above was written in 2007 when the initial planning was done for the new Church of Scientology in Quebec. The building was just opened on the 30th of January 2010, with keynote speech for the opening delivered by the Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center, Mr. David Miscavige. See this article for more information on the grand opening of the Church of Scientology of Quebec.

Wow, I thought we were a pretty advanced city, intellectually and culturally. This is sending us back 500 years to the ages of fear, superstition and exploitation.

Naju – I think you may have us mixed up with some other practice, as the Church of Scientology is essentially the exact reverse of what you just said. A case in point, in Quebec specifically, is how the Church worked to unearth the facts on, and bring to justice those who exploited all of the Duplessis Orphans who were murdered and experimented on in psychiatric hospitals in the area. Scientologists are champions of human rights, and I think it’s fantastic that they finally have a proper location with which to assist the community in Quebec.

I personally have never met one person in Scientology and especially I must say those on staff in all the churches around the world that I did not like. They are so friend and genuine people anyone could ever meet. They are dedicated to changing unwanted conditions in life and all are striving to bring about a wolrd without insanity, without war and without crime. The extensive programs dealing with illiteracy, drug rehabilitation, human rights, and on and on and on are beyond impressive. Anyone is invited to come into a Church Of Scientology in their area and find out for themselves what it is and see for themselves the absolutely amazing things Scientology is doing and continues to do day in and day out to bring about positive changes in the world. The amazing Volunteer Ministers fordge ahead going to areas where help is needed and bring calmness and succor to those who have suffered such as for example Katrina disaster. I was there along with my husband and with the knowledge we have learned as Scientologist we were able to help so many people when we went to Houston as Volunteer Mnisters. I might add working along with people from all different religions and like minded people that wanted to help. The world must come together and prejudice and gossip must fall to the wayside..
